Serengeti Spirit Adventure

This Booking Policy outlines the terms governing reservations, payments, cancellations, and participation in safari tours organized by Serengeti Spirit Adventure.
By confirming a safari booking, clients acknowledge that they have read and agreed to this policy.
1. Company Information

Serengeti Spirit Adventure operates safari tours throughout Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, including:

Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Tarangire National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Mount Kilimanjaro region
We also offer Zanzibar beach extensions, including stays on Zanzibar Island and its surrounding coastal areas, which can be combined with mainland safari itineraries.
We are a locally operated safari company working with a trusted team of professional Tanzanian driver-guides.
We specialize primarily in private tailor-made safaris, although small group departures may be arranged upon request.
2. Booking Process
Safari bookings can be made through:

After discussing the itinerary and availability, Serengeti Spirit Adventure will issue a written quotation and booking invoice.
A booking is considered confirmed only after the required deposit has been received.
3. Deposits and Payment
To secure a safari booking:

A 20% deposit of the total safari price is required at the time of confirmation.
The remaining 80% balance must be paid at least 30 days before arrival.
For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
4. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:

International bank transfer

Wise (international transfer platform)

PayPal Business
-
Cash payment in USD or EUR (by prior written agreement only)
All transaction fees, bank charges, and currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client.
5. Currency
All safari prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
6. Cancellation Policy
If a booking is cancelled, the following cancellation fees apply based on the number of days before the safari start date:
Time Before Arrival -> Cancellation Fee
60+ days before arrival -> 10% of total tour price
30–59 days before arrival -> 30% of total tour price
14–29 days before arrival -> 50% of total tour price
7–13 days before arrival ->75% of total tour price
0–6 days before arrival or no-show ->100% of total tour price
7. Deposit Policy
Deposits are non-refundable.
However, deposits may be applied toward rescheduling a safari, subject to availability and applicable conditions.
8. No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive on the confirmed safari start date without prior communication will be considered a no-show.
No-shows are non-refundable.
9. Rescheduling Policy
Guests may request to reschedule their safari.
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.
Rescheduling is subject to:

accommodation availability
-
park permit availability
-
seasonal pricing changes
Guests are responsible for covering any price differences caused by seasonal rate changes, accommodation changes, or park fee adjustments.
Administrative fees may apply.
10. Weather and Operational Conditions
Safaris operate in most weather conditions.
However, due to safety or wildlife movement, minor adjustments to routes or daily schedules may be necessary.
In cases where national parks or access roads are closed, Serengeti Spirit Adventure will make reasonable efforts to offer:

alternative parks

modified routes
-
adjusted itineraries
11. Force Majeure
Serengeti Spirit Adventure shall not be held liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

extreme weather conditions
-
wildlife movement affecting operations
-
national park closures
-
border restrictions
-
government regulations
-
political unrest
-
strikes
-
natural disasters
-
pandemics or health emergencies
In such cases, we will attempt to provide:

alternative arrangements
-
rescheduling options
-
credit for future travel
Refunds may be issued only where costs are recoverable from suppliers.
12. If We Cancel a Tour
If Serengeti Spirit Adventure must cancel a safari due to operational or force majeure reasons, guests may be offered:

rescheduling to a later date
-
credit toward a future safari
-
partial or full refund depending on recoverable costs
13. Health and Participation Requirements
Guests should be in reasonable physical condition to participate in safari activities.
Certain activities such as:

walking safaris
-
trekking
-
mountain excursions
may require additional levels of fitness.
Parents or legal guardians are fully responsible for minors participating in safaris.
14. Travel Insurance
All guests are strongly required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

medical emergencies
-
evacuation
-
trip interruption
-
trip cancellation
-
personal belongings
Serengeti Spirit Adventure is not responsible for costs arising from lack of insurance coverage.
15. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment
Safari travel involves inherent risks including but not limited to:

wildlife encounters
-
remote travel conditions
-
uneven terrain
-
limited access to medical facilities
Guests acknowledge these risks when participating in safari activities.
Guests may be required to sign a liability waiver prior to the safari start date.
16. Late Arrivals
If guests arrive late due to flight delays or personal circumstances:

The safari will proceed as scheduled.
For airport pickups, our team will wait up to 2 hours unless otherwise communicated.
Time missed due to late arrival is non-refundable.
17. Park Fees and Accommodation
Unless otherwise specified in the confirmed itinerary:

National park entry fees are included in the quoted safari price.
-
Accommodation as listed in the confirmed itinerary is included.
Changes requested by the guest may result in additional costs.
18. Third-Party Services
Safari itineraries may include services provided by independent third parties such as:

lodges and camps
-
transport providers
-
park authorities
-
activity operators
While we carefully select trusted partners, Serengeti Spirit Adventure is not liable for independent operational issues of third-party providers.
19. Dispute Resolution
Guests agree to contact Serengeti Spirit Adventure directly to resolve any concerns before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes.
All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
