From here, travel through the scenic northern highlands toward the vast open plains of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife ecosystems.

Five nights in the Serengeti create something shorter safaris cannot: time. Time to explore different habitats, follow wildlife movements, return to promising areas and simply remain with an extraordinary sighting rather than having to move on. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and immense herds of grazing animals inhabit these plains. Depending on the season and location of the herds, you may also encounter the Great Migration, when vast numbers of wildebeest and zebra move through the ecosystem following rainfall, water and fresh grazing.

The journey continues through the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
